No. 23: Say yes more often.
I am stealing this from a former classmate, who summed up pretty succinctly a new attitude I'm trying to adopt. This isn't a goal with an end-date in mind. It is simply an ongoing effort to get involved, meet new people, and, most importantly, have a lot of fun. Life is simply too short to stay inside and watch TV all the time. Although sometimes, you have to say yes to that too. ;)
No. 24: See more theater – specifically, the Broadway classics.
I was inspired by watching Cats performed at the Boulder Dinner Theater on my anniversary. (And I was impressed by the level of professionalism I saw there, given it was a local theater.) We had a good time, and it made me want to see even more of what I consider to be classic shows such as Cats. I've also already seen Wicked and The Producers – both excellent.
I don't have to see the following shows on Broadway, though I will try. I just have to see the shows live somewhere. Thankfully, the Denver area has a surprisingly robust arts scene, and a lot of great shows come through here. In fact, four of the following shows' national Broadway tours are coming through Denver this year! A great season, to be sure.
- Phantom of the Opera
- The Lion King (coming to Denver this year …)
- Les Miserables (also coming to Denver)
- West Side Story (also coming to Denver)
- Rent
- Hair (also coming to Denver)
- Hairspray
